Sanatan Sanstha adds another feather

The drama organised by Sanatan Sanstha gets over very quickly at the police station. The lady sadhak states that she wants to stay at Sanatan Ashram Ponda and not with her parents and follow Dr Jayant Athavale. The parents lose the battle and leave the venue very dejected.

The press conference by Sanatan Sanstha

press conference sanatan sanstha

The next weapon in the arsenal provided by Sanatan Sanstha is very powerful and will be used for maximum benefit. We have video recorded the entire episode and have made several copies of the recordings to be distributed to the media. The venue is Sanatan Ashram Panvel. We have debated several options including having the press conference hosted by a third party and show that Sanatan Ashram is not connected with the episode. I strongly oppose this option as I want to showcase the entire episode to prove that the sanstha stands behind such sadhaks and supports them fully. Dr Jayant Athavale does not leave the sadhaks in the lurch. I convince Sanatan Sanstha after some heated debates to hold the press conference at the ashram premises.
The venue is set and the media is invited immediately to gather at Sanatan Ashram Panvel. We have a well-designed and maintained media centre. It is equipped with the latest technology. However, the media studio at Sanatan Ashram Ponda is better than this. In fact, it surpasses several media centres in Maharashtra and is the highest rated in Goa.

Sanatan Sanstha wins another round

 press conference sanatan sanstha

Once all the media persons gather at the venue, Sanatan Sanstha has planned for light snacks in keeping with our public image. We know that these people must be fed well to earn their good will. Dr Jayant Athavale does not miss any tricks.
The lady sadhak joins us and we make her take the central seat. She is flanked on one side by the advocate and on another by me. This is standard practice to ensure that the sadhak does not change her mind. It is a psychological trick.
Anyhow, the press conference starts with a bang and the lady sadhak hits out at her parents, the way she was mistreated since childhood and how she was to be “sold off” to the highest bidder by marrying her. I am stunned by her fiery speech but control my emotions. She is performing so well and it is better than our expectations. The media is eagerly lapping down her words. The print media has sufficient fodder while the television crew are filming the entire press conference.
The battle is won. Sanatan Sanstha will create history again. Dr Jayant Athavale’s name and fame will resound throughout India. People will flock to Sanatan Ashram Ponda.

Little do I realise the impact of my actions. I have left my family; forsaken them for spirituality and not to fill the coffers of Sanatan Sanstha. I should not allow Dr Jayant Athavale to brainwash and use mind control techniques on innocent and pliable people. But, I have failed in my duties and do not realise my mistakes and the criminal activity undertaken by me. Imagine what can happen if thousands do the same thing tomorrow. All in the name of Hindu Dharma and Sanatan Dharma.

Sanatan Sanstha at Police Station

Despite grave provocation, sadhaks at Sanatan Sanstha stand their ground. The lady sadhak is also firm and reiterates that she wants to seek the guidance of Dr Jayant Athavale to seek spirituality and stay forever at Sanatan Ashram Ponda. She refuses to go back to her parents.

Sanatan Sanstha wins another round

All the action is filmed by sadhaks of Sanatan Sanstha. The media is out in full strength outside Sanatan Ashram Panvel. They are not covering the event live but we are satisfied with their presence. It is happening just in time for the prime evening news and we will get good coverage. A substantial crowd has gathered outside the ashram and we have stationed some of the sadhaks in plain clothes. They are voicing their opinion to the media. This is an important part of the overall strategy and shows the level of planning by sadhaks under the guidance of Dr Jayant Athavale. They oppose anyone criticising Sanatan Sanstha and their numbers ensure that the media listens to them. Some of the local persons are also convinced that the fault lies with the parents and not with the Sanstha. They are our future recruits.
If this is not mind control, then what is this? Is this about spirituality; is Sanatan Sanstha propagating spirituality by this manner?

Action at the police station

But wait, the real action is yet to begin. The drama now shifts to the police station. The lady sadhak and her family are taken to the police station. We depute only a few of our sadhaks there as we are busy preparing for the next stage; a crucial stage – the press conference.
I don’t go to the police station but am able to hear the entire conversation live courtesy a sadhak. My lady sadhak, the disciple of Dr Jayant Athavale does me proud once again. She has lived up to the occasion, she has not faltered anywhere. She gives a clear cut statement that she has left her house on her free will and wants to join Sanatan Sanstha as a full-time devotee. Her parents cannot force her as she is an adult. The game is over for her parents. They lose their emotional balance. They have lost her. Sanatan Sanstha has won again.
The news is conveyed to the media gallery. The parents and her relatives are filmed leaving the station heartbroken and defeated. What a great psychological image; we realise the significance immediately. I realise the importance of the image and keep a copy for further reference. I can visualise the heading in Sanatan Prabhat Marathi. It will read “True Spirituality wins over evil forces” and will carry an image of the lady sadhak and another of her defeated family leaving the police station.

But, I have other things on my mind. I must prepare for the press conference. I must crown Sanatan Sanstha in such positivity that the image stays in the mind for a long time.

Do I realise the immorality of my act? I have separated a family; I have destroyed a family; all in the name of spirituality. I have acted under the spell of Sanatan Sanstha and Dr Jayant Athavale. My mind is controlled by them.
Can I ever attain Mooksha? Can I ever redeem my bad Karma?

Circus at Sanatan Sanstha

The day arrived very early and Sanatan Sanstha was ready for a big catfight. The sadhaks had rallied throughout the night. They were replaced in the morning by another team. Sanatan and Dr Jayant Athavale had many supporters, they were ready to do anything for the sanstha and their guru. They were controlled by the sanstha.

The first fight at Sanatan Ashram Panvel

We had an early breakfast called न्याहारी in our terminology at Sanatan Ashram Panvel. We used special words, these were difficult for the aam Janata – the normal people, to understand and we stood apart. We were part of a special team. We belonged.  We were spiritually enlightened, we were guided by Dr Jayant Athavale.
We had to show that there was nothing amiss, routine activities were carried out at the ashram premises. This was a show put together by Sanatan Sanstha.
The parents and their assorted relatives arrived. There were about a dozen of them. They demanded to meet the lady. I was in the reception area called swagat kaksh and I offered to show them around Sanatan Ashram Panvel first. They abused me and asked to see their daughter immediately. Though taken back, I recovered immediately and without losing my cool, asked them to speak softly and maintain decorum as other sadhaks were practising sadhana. This was meant to provoke them again and it hit the mark. They again abused me and Sanatan Sanstha. All this was being secretly recorded.
I asked the sadhaks to get the lady sadhak. She came down on her own. This was going exactly as per the plan. She appeared regal walking down the central staircase, there were no emotions on her face. She was not looking at her parents at all. I knew at that moment that my efforts had paid off.

Spirituality and Sanatan Sanstha

What is the connection between this story and spirituality? How does Sanatan Sanstha associate this kind of behaviour with spirituality? Do we question this; question or actions? Do we even think that we are participating in an immoral act?
We are beyond all this. Dr Jayant Athavale controls our mind to such an extent that we can no longer differentiate between good and bad. The lady sadhak is totally hypnotised by Sanatan Sanstha, she will now stay permanently at Sanatan Ashram Ponda. Dr Athavale has succeeded again.

The process is so simple, anyone can replicate it. But, the battle is not yet over. The main act is yet to begin.

Defection to Sanatan Sanstha and my redemption

The defection of a lady sadhak to Sanatan Sanstha is successful. She has reached Sanatan Ashram Panvel and is enfolded immediately by a security blanket. Our forces on the ground report that her parents; well-connected politically, are rallying their forces and preparing to get her back. I am now in my element and have used all available mind control techniques at my disposal. I am ready for the big fight.

The battleground and Sanatan Sanstha

We, at Sanatan Sanstha are aware that such well-connected families will put political pressure on us to release their daughter. We have primed the sadhak for this purpose. The first call comes within a couple of hours. It is handled beautifully by the trustee; a sadhak so enlightened that she has attained the status of a saint. She stated that the sadhak was in the ashram premises and she had come on her free will. She was an adult and could live life as she wanted. Sanatan does not obey any political masters, we listen to only our Guru; Dr Jayant Athavale. She also threatened to disclose the names to the media. The person cut the call immediately. Politicians are afraid of us as we know many of their dirty secrets. In fact, we help them out in many ways.
She must have received several such calls but she did not lose her composure.
The day passed without any other incident at Sanatan Ashram Panvel. The anticipation levels were very high but I told the sadhaks of Sanatan Sanstha to have faith. I was continuously counselling the lady sadhak so that she did not get demotivated.
We retired for the day after dinner.

Planning pays off for Sanatan Ashram

The next day arrived early, I could hardly sleep at night and spent the time doing naamjap. Early in the morning I got the message I was eagerly waiting for. The parents had tried to lodge a missing person’s report at the police station. We were a step ahead of them. The lady sadhak had intimated the police station in advance that she was leaving her parents on her free will. The police refused to register the parent’s complaint. Now, they were very angry and had left for the ashram. They were accompanied by many of their relatives.
We immediately rallied our sadhaks and asked them to accumulate at Sanatan Ashram Panvel. We wanted to provoke the family into a fight but we would not lift even a small finger against them. The sadhaks were all trained in such tactics and did not mind getting beaten up. They were ready to do anything for Sanatan Sanstha and Dr Jayant Athavale. They had a high level of dedication.
Such devotion to Sanatan would help us in the fight ahead.

The fight was about to begin and I was spearheading it. I was blessed.

At last a jailbreak and redemption at Sanatan Sanstha

The previous week and hectic preparation by Sanatan Sanstha will be put on test today. She is going to run away to Dr Jayant Athavale and if I can handle it well, the episode will become a jewel in the crown; for me as well as for Sanatan. The sadhaks on the ground are ready; they must maintain “radio silence”. There is apprehension that some government institutions are taking interest in us. We have been trained on such aspect. Sanatan Sanstha is taking all precautions; it is banking very heavily on this episode and I am under tremendous stress. I am confident that I will be able to deliver the goods provided the sadhak is handed over to me.

The flight to Sanatan Sanstha

The planning bears fruit and the sadhak makes her break for Sanatan Sanstha. The timing is perfect and news filters in from different sources. She is expected to reach Sanatan Ashram Panvel around afternoon. She stays near Mumbai so the transit time is less.
As per the plan and the instructions given, she should call her parents as soon as she reaches Sanatan Sanstha Ashram and she should reach on her own. These are standard operating procedures and I too had followed them; I don’t have time to think about the past, the future is waiting for me. I can visualize Dr Jayant Athavale welcoming me into the inner circle at Sanatan Sanstha with open hands.
cosmic play at sanatan sanstha

I see her for the first time after she reaches the ashram gates. She is frail and looks a little lost. Drawing from my experience, I welcome her and immediately offer her food. This will calm her down. While she is eating, I talk to her and look inside her mind. My guru, Dr Athavale’s techniques on mind control are needed here. I think that she is regretting her step already and I cannot let that happen. I shift immediately on getting her to focus on the future and how she will contribute to the establishment of Hindu Rashtra and how Dr Jayant Athavale is the true spiritual guide – the Guru.
I needle her about the family. I have plenty of background information. The local sadhaks have given me a lot to work on. I pick up specific instances. This must be done diplomatically. I must initiate a trance state before working my magic. Thanks to Sanatan Sanstha and the training given over the past fortnight, I have mastered the basics. She is again primed and only about an hour has passed. She calls up her parents in front of me and as per the instructions just informs them that she is safe and at Sanatan Ashram Panvel. The conversation lasts for less than a minute and she switches off the mobile.
The stage is set for Act II of our cosmic play – Sanatan Sanstha and Mind Control.

Sanatan Sanstha has engineered one more defection and I am proud of my role in broken dreams and broken relationships. What a transformation? I would be appalled at such instances just six months ago, and today I am a conspirator. Dr Jayant Athavale controls my mind and soul.

Can I come out of this vicious circle ever again?

Planning a Jail Break – Sanatan Sanstha and me

The planning for the flight of a woman sadhak to Sanatan Sanstha is going as per plan. She will fly to us in the next three days and we will put her up at Sanatan Ashram Panvel. She will instigate her family – she is unmarried and we assume that they will lash out against the sanstha. We hope to have a good media circus and this will boost our dwindling reputation among the sadhaks. This will also redeem me in the eyes of my guru; Dr Jayant Athavale and hasten my spiritual progress.

My role at Sanatan Ashram Panvel

I play a crucial role defined by Sanatan Sanstha. The outcome of this episode will decide on my future. I reach Sanatan Ashram Panvel three days in advance so that I can coordinate the activities. I am so excited that I hardly sleep. I start with contacting the grass root sadhaks, the followers who are keeping a close watch on the lady and her family. We have gathered all the background information and are satisfied that we have picked a winner this time. As I am acting as a central coordinator, I must pass on all information to the main persons at Sanatan Ashram Ponda. I also learn to hold teleconferences as well as Skype. We prefer Skype as the calls cannot be traced and eavesdropped. They have several suggestions and expect me to follow their instructions but I learn to use my own judgement and tell them on their faces. They don’t like it, I think that I have pushed them to their limits. But, I am playing for broke; this is a do or die situation for me. I will not allow anyone to spoil it with their child-like suggestions.

Media and Sanatan Sanstha

Sanatan Sanstha has built up a formidable reputation with media agencies. We generally treat them like dirt; to be used when required. Otherwise, we do not value them. But, they listen to us; they have to listen to us. We pressurise them by lodging court cases against them on very flimsy grounds and make their editors and publishers a party to the case. This harassment ensures that they do not ignore any request from Sanatan.
We build up a rapport with them, I personally call up the most important ones. The importance is not on their subscriber base; rather it is dependent upon who makes the most noise. We want the episode to create the most noise so that people sit up and take notice. They realise the importance of Sanatan Sanstha. The media persons try to pry the real reason for my call. I have a knack of dealing with such queries, I lead them on in my sweet voice telling them to have patience. They will be amply rewarded for their patience. I talk to almost fifteen to twenty media persons including some well-known names. The print media as well as the television media are covered.

The drama is now set and everybody is waiting for the curtains to rise. I am the director and a producer, the main actors are different. But I play a pivotal role. Sanatan Sanstha will have to take notice, Dr Jayant Athavale will bless me personally when the episode is over.

Sanatan Sanstha and I – a jailbreak

The recently discovered trait discovered by Sanatan Sanstha will be used by Sanatan Sanstha to affect a daring jailbreak. We, together, the guru Dr Jayant Athavale and his willing and obedient disciple will spirit away a young woman right in front of her parents and bring her into the folds of spirituality. What a thought? I am so proud that I am now actively contributing to the creation of Hindu Rashtra. I am progressing rapidly on the path of spirituality.

Sanatan Sanstha gears up

The big event is scheduled almost a week away. The sadhaks on the ground have planned everything; they have primed the girl (she is an adult; we have counterchecked many times). Sanatan Sanstha needs a break and a big one. Several sadhaks have left the sanstha and new joinee ranks are not growing. A shock therapy will be good and Dr Jayant Athavale can deliver a knockout punch. He has a bunch of sadhaks to assist him, sadhaks like me who has given the control of their minds to him.
Broken lives and broken relationships.
Who cares?
fly away to sanatan sanstha
Anyhow, the sadhak is ready to fly, fly away to freedom. I relive my own situation; those tension filled days and nights, the fights, my taunts and the sheer happiness of finding my barbs hitting right on target. I can visualize the sadhaks patrolling the girl’s house. I learn that this is not only to protect the girl but it is to ensure that she does not change her mind. It is intimidating and a part of the mind control process. She cannot back out now, she has committed and the evidence is right in front of her. Most of the sadhaks are from different localities or even towns so that the family in question does not suspect anything.
The suspense is getting to me. I cannot bear it any longer.

Sanatan Sanstha shifts me

Just three days before the big event, Sanatan Sanstha arranges for my trip to Sanatan Ashram Panvel. I arrive at the first step in my freedom struggle, a confident sadhak and look back on my first tentative step in the direction of spiritual progress. I thank Dr Jayant Athavale many many times for his active intervention in my case.
I don’t have much time to gloat over my time of glory. There are thousands of loose ends that need to be tied down. This is a totally new personality, I am confident and dictate the sadhaks around me. I don’t see many familiar faces from the last visit to Sanatan Ashram Panvel but don’t have time to dwell on these petty issues.
I must be making hundreds of calls daily, but I am not worried. I am focused on the job on hand.

I want to fly away a woman to her freedom. Give her a clean break. Show her the path of spirituality. See the Godliness of Dr Jayant Athavale and his Sanatan Sanstha.

Sanatan Sanstha uses my inherent talents

flight to sanatan sanstha

The new personality trait discovered by Sanatan Sanstha opens up a different opportunity and this is discussed at several forums inside Sanatan Ashram Ponda. I can handle public affairs very successfully and also divert attention from controversial topics. In short, I am very good at lying. I also handle some critical issues in a very calm and collected manner without getting flustered. This is probed further by sadhaks as they feel I can handle other situations quite efficiently.

Flight preparations at Sanatan Sanstha

flight to sanatan sanstha
Sanatan Sanstha wants to test my commitment to the cause of Dr Jayant Athavale and his vision of Hindu Rashtra. I have demonstrated time and again that I am totally committed, I have moved away from my family and antagonized even my parents in the process. It seems that Sanatan Ashram Ponda wants to test my resolve.
The number of runaways joining Sanatan Sanstha has slowed down to a trickle. Hardly anyone has run away from their homes and joined Sanatan Ashram Ponda. As a result, PR activities have nosedived. There is also a lull in subscriptions; people seem to have lost interest in us. Viewership of Dainik Sanatan Prabhat online has nosedived. Online viewership of Sanatan website is also down. We are desperately searching for an opportunity.
In such gloomy times, we suddenly receive news from one of our kendras that they have readied one girl. She is ready to leave her home. Though the reasons are personal; her family is marrying her off though she wants to continue her studies. A series of meetings are held and I am invited to be part of many such meetings. This gives me an eagle eyes view of the preparations.

One more test by Sanatan Sanstha

This is touted as a defining period in my association with Sanatan Sanstha. I must coordinate the whole episode and ensure that the parents are instigated and lash out publicly at Sanatan. I may even be moved to Sanatan Ashram Panvel for close coordination. A mobile with a different SIM is given to me. The sanstha thinks that my phone may have some eavesdropping software installed by either my husband or parents. I don’t think so but have now learned to keep quiet. I have faced several issues in the past on account of my nature. I don’t want to lose the faith of Dr Jayant Athavale again. I must succeed. It is pointed out that I had failed in my attempts of instigating my husband.
I am determined to succeed this time and showcase Sanatan Sanstha as a showcase of Hinduvta. A place that protects girls and women and saves their souls. This will define me and my role in Sanatan Ashram Ponda and I will not lose this opportunity.

Is this related to spirituality? Are our activities even moral? Do I have the courage to question the tactics? Leave alone questioning the tactics, I am acting as an active agent. I am provoking a woman to break away from her family. I could; Sanatan Sanstha could; talk to both the parties and work out a compromise in which the girl could study. But then this would not benefit Dr Jayant Athavale. Sanatan would not derive any mileage out of this. If we print such news, nobody would read Dainik Sanatan Prabhat.

Spirituality at Sanatan Ashram Ponda

What about spirituality at Sanatan Ashram Ponda? Am I really doing anything to increase my spiritual knowledge? Is Sanatan Sanstha teaching me about any significant spiritual practices? Well, if you consider personality defect removal process or PDR as a significant spiritual practice, then I spend a considerable part of my time in spiritual practice. I also attend several satsangs; the topics are generally repetitive and stress on Dr Jayant Athavale and his beliefs. Some of them are about naamjap and the importance of different names of God and which name we should chant. Overall, I must be spending about 4-6 hours daily in these activities, but as I am also involved in other sevas; I am part of the Swagat Kaksh at Sanatan Ashram Ponda, it is less.

Sevas equal Spirituality at Sanatan Sanstha

Other sadhaks at Sanatan Ashram Ponda spend considerable time doing naamjap. I know several sadhaks who would spend upwards to 10 hours in this chanting activity. They had several personality defects and the sanstha had advised them that chanting only could rid them of their personality defects.
All sadhaks had to participate in various activities inside the ashram. It operated as a cooperative society with responsibilities divided among the various members. We were not paid anything for the time and effort spent in these sevas. It was said that these sevas were meant to be part of our spiritual practices. I fail to understand how a service at the ashram qualifies as spiritual practices while the same done at one’s home does not. I could not raise such queries otherwise I would again have to do penance; I had experienced it many times. My attitude of questioning had landed me in hot waters
helpless sanatan ashram ponda
many times and though I had full faith in Dr Jayant Athavale, I was learning how to handle politics in Sanatan Sanstha. This was definitely politics; or was it? Was it a psychological method aimed at mind control. Was Sanatan using these techniques to strengthen their hold over us, using this to control our minds? Why were we unable to question such practises, why, we – independent women in our own rights, unable to raise our voices against injustices? Why were we helpless, why did we feel hopeless?

Spirituality at Sanatan Ashram Ponda

We give free service to Sanatan Ashram Ponda and equate it with spirituality. It is true across ashrams across India and maybe the rest of the world. There is nothing wrong about this. What is wrong is that only occupants of the ashram must give this seva. Outsiders, including sadhaks are not required to do this. They can spend their time as they want to. We stay at the ashram of Sanatan Sanstha and we do not or cannot pay for our lodging and boarding. The sanstha recovers the cost in this manner. They use us as slaves. As it is cloaked in spirituality, we do not feel a burden. But frankly, we are slaves of Dr Jayant Athavale both in mind and body. We are not independent; we cannot think independently. Sanatan Sanstha has taken away this ability from us and we are proud of this fact.

God, please help us to come out of this maya jaal. Only you can save us from Dr Jayant Athavale and Sanatan Sanstha. Many sadhaks staying at Sanatan Ashram Ponda pray to God to seek His intervention; He blesses only some of us.

Different personality at Sanatan Ashram Ponda

The reassignment of work at Sanatan Ashram Ponda is a blessing in disguise. I and Sanatan Sanstha discover a different and hidden aspect of my personality; I can handle stress; enormous amount of stress without losing my cool. I handle some very tricky situations at the swagat kaksh of Sanatan Ashram Ramnathi and in the process, earn some long-needed goodwill of high ranking sadhaks. These sadhaks are quite influential though they do not have any pompous sounding designations. Their words carry a lot of weight in Sanatan Sanstha and they are keeping a close watch on me. I thank Dr Jayant Athavale for all his blessings, only his blessings have made this possible otherwise I was down in the dumps.

A different persona Sanatan Sanstha

The different me is really a different persona at Sanatan Sanstha. I have handled two critical incidents at Sanatan Ashram Ponda and handled them in such a manner that there was a lot of goodwill generated for me and the sanstha. Both relate to some queries raised by the police department. In one situation, they are on the point of conducting a raid. I play them around till some significant persons disappear from the premises of Sanatan Ashram Ramnathi. I will not share the complete details; who knows the police or even Sanatan will try to silence me. Silence me in the same way they have silenced some troublesome sadhaks. Sanatan Sanstha does not trust anybody and if a person is privy to confidential knowledge or information, they take special care of them. Not my words but those uttered by a senior sadhak to my rakshak after I escaped from their clutches and ran away from Sanatan Ashram Ponda.
The other incident is not open to public consumption but relates to a police spy. The police had planted a spy in our midst but I could identify him very easily. He escaped with his life, I regretted it at that time. Dr Jayant Athavale had control over my mind and I could only think about him and his safety.

Another dimension of my personality

Ego at Sanatan Sanstha
This different dimension of my personality opens a host of opportunities to the sadhaks of Sanatan Sanstha and to me as well. I can now be assigned to perform several high-level sevas. I am about to join a close-knit group within Sanatan Ashram Ponda; a group so well knit that hardly anybody is aware of it.
This development does not go down well with my rakshak. I am surprised as I felt that she would be very happy for me. I think it is envy. Though she has spent several years at Sanatan Ashram Ramnathi, she has never reached my level. She has a serious issue of personality defect; envy and that interferes with her spiritual progress. I have a serious talk with her one day but she does not reply to my accusations; in fact, she is silent throughout. She only looks at me with her soul-searching eyes.

I realize later on that I was entering a deep quagmire; one which would make it impossible to escape. But, I didn’t want to escape.  I wanted to be enveloped by the Chaitanya of Dr Jayant Athavale and his Sanatan Sanstha.

Reassignment at Sanatan Ashram Ponda

Sanatan Sanstha punishes me for a minor slip of the tongue at one satsang at Sanatan Ashram Ponda. I get very emotional about this but do not let it affect my resolve. I am firm that I will serve my Guru Dr Jayant Athavale and seek spiritual growth under his guidance. I am ready to enlist my daughter into the fold of Sanatan and also reach out to my husband. In short, I am ready to do anything. Anything except see the writing on the wall. The writing clearly says that Sanatan Sanstha practices mind control techniques; it lures women and men alike and controls their minds; makes them do what the sanstha wants.

Redemption at Sanatan Sanstha

Swagat kaksh at Sanatan Ashram Ponda

I think my resolve wins in the end and I am reassigned to be part of the Swagat Kaksh at Sanatan Ashram Ponda. Every day I report to the main reception area. My job is to handle the telephone console and pass on important messages to the concerned sadhaks. I should be aware of the various activities of the ashram as well as arrival and departure of many important sadhaks. I am also responsible for informing them about any raids by police or any other government agencies. The responsibility is enormous as Sanatan Sanstha has been raided several times in the past. However, in most cases, they were unable to find what they were after. It is the responsibility of the Swagat Kaksh at Sanatan Ashram Ponda to give information as fast as possible so that necessary arrangements can be made.
I take this as a challenging job and handle all the calls.

Frantic relatives and a stone wall

I also serve as a stone wall between frantic relatives and runaway sadhaks. I must have encountered about a dozen such cases. When a runaway sadhak reaches Sanatan Ashram Ramnathi, we generally put a safety net over her. She is handled very carefully. The relatives may lure her away from Sanatan Sanstha else they may create a ruckus at the ashram premises. We actually like it if they create a scene and pick up a fight. Our media arm has good connections with sympathetic media organizations. These media persons can reach the ashram within minutes and cover the whole episode very well. They also give a sympathetic angle so that Sanatan comes out like a good organization being harassed by evil doers.

This has a ripple effect and our sadhaks who wish to fly away to the ashram are motivated to do so. We also attract several other seekers. The concerned sadhak also loses faith in her family and starts trusting Sanatan Sanstha completely. She becomes a permanent feature at Sanatan Ashram Ponda. She hands over control of mind to Dr Jayant Athavale.

Apart from this seva, I have to offer seva in the kitchen. Now, I get sufficient time to attend all satsangs and also participate in many activities. I get my food on time. I think that I am redeemed finally and Sanatan Sanstha has finally and totally accepted me.

I belong to Dr Jayant Athavale and Sanatan Sanstha.

The story so far at Sanatan Ashram Ponda

I have gone through many ups and downs since the last few months after landing at Sanatan Ashram Ponda. I was expecting to spend the rest of my life in pursuit of spirituality and service to my Guru, Dr Jayant Athavale, but frankly, things have been quite different. I do not realize it at that time; my mind is still controlled by Sanatan Sanstha and I still cannot think rationally.

a Hindu Ashram peace, tranquillity and spirituality
A typical Hindu Ashram

Positive thoughts about Sanatan Ashram Ponda

If asked about any positive points at Sanatan Ashram Ponda, I can still identify several.
  • There are several sadhaks – followers of Sanatan Sanstha, who are seriously into spirituality. They are committed to this. There is nothing wrong about this. The ashram provides them a perfect place to practice. It provides a place to stay and also provides for some basic necessities of life like food. It is very peaceful.
  • Some of the occupants have bitter experiences and have nowhere to go. They had some personal experiences and wanted an escape from their past. Sanatan provides them this without asking any questions. Yes, they have to prove that they are serious in their spiritual efforts, but money can manage many things.
  • Sanatan Ashram Ponda is also a good place to learn Sanskrit and study our Vedas and Shastra, provided you draw your own inferences and do not depend on the meaning provided by the sadhaks.

Negativity at Sanatan Sanstha

Apart from the techniques of mind control practiced by followers of Dr Jayant Athavale, there are several negative issues. I may be labeled a shaitan by Sanatan but these issues need to be brought to the notice of normal Hindus.
  • The first and the foremost is the worship of Guru. Hindu Dharma does not allow for Guru worship. Sanatan Sanstha, however, preaches this very actively. Dr Athavale is the center of attraction. Life at Sanatan Ashram Ponda revolves around him. Gurupoornima is the only festival celebrated at the ashram. Most of the satsangs, dharmavargs and religious discourses center around the importance of the Guru. In fact, this dominates all discussions to such an extent that we do not follow any significant religious activities.
  • Sanatan Ashram dictates your life; you have to follow their instructions. You have to obey them. People lose their independence. Sanatan controls all aspects of your life. You have to take bath in the manner they specify, you have to eat when and what they say. I am not even allowed outside food; I spend several days without food.  Sleeping patterns are dictated by them.
  • Sanatan controls the flow of information. Outside information is filtered. Communication channels with outside world are cut off. You cannot even speak freely with your family. Incidentally, when the family visits you, they forced to sit in a particular corner of the swagat kaksh. This was pointed out by my rakshak once I regained my rationality. We never discovered the reasons behind this.

My doctor has advised me to look at some positive aspects of my stay at Sanatan Ashram Ponda. This will alleviate the sense of guilt to some extent. It is difficult to identify any positive outcome of my association with Sanatan Sanstha – at least as of now.

My Daughter A Sanatan Sevak

Isn’t it funny that the only solution to regain Sanatan Sanstha’s trust was to make my daughter a Sanatan Sevak. I thought, at that time that this was a perfect solution. Sanatan had grounded me once again and this time, all my so-called perks and benefits had been withdrawn.

Cause and effect at Sanatan Ashram Ponda

cause and effect sanatan
Was this related to my prarabdha and Karma or was I part of a systematic plan at Sanatan Ashram Ponda? I was not in the mental condition to think this out; Dr Jayant Athavale had full control of my mind. He had taken charge of my sub-conscious and conscious mind through the various mind control techniques. A small insignificant comment had a very drastic effect.
As I realized later, Sanatan used such cause and effect principle on any sadhak they doubted on. This made a person like me do anything to stay in their good books. They would slowly tighten the screws so that the sadhak would no longer have any other alternative. There were several sadhaks at Sanatan Ashram Ponda who had undergone this process. The after-effects of repeated use were very negative and drastic. I have seen a person lose his mental stability after one such penance – cause and effect impact. This was the tipping point for me, I will come back later on this.

The solution and Sanatan Sanstha

Bringing my daughter under the fold of Sanatan Sanstha and getting her to live with me at Sanatan Ashram Ponda solved several problems in one go. First of all, I would be able to bring her up in the proper manner of Hindu Dharma. She would be taught all the Vedas and Shastra in proper Sanskrit. Though she has learning disabilities, I was sure that she would cope. Secondly, she would also start her spiritual journey at a very early age. Her progress would be very fast. I would also get her treated by the Chakra specialist as I felt that her main issue was Chakra imbalance. She would be an ideal patient on which to carry out several path-breaking experiments. I would also get some emotional company; I used to feel quite lonely and missed my family, especially during nights. Who knows, my husband would also follow both of us into Sanatan Sanstha. He could bear the loss of one but I was sure that he could not bear to part with both of us – we were the stars of his eyes.

The plan was to talk to my daughter when she was alone. I knew that if I tried to speak to her in my husband’s presence, she would not listen. I waited for several days before I made the call to the landline. Hoping that my daughter would pick up, I prayed to Dr Jayant Athavale to fulfill my wishes. My prayers were answered and my daughter, my beloved daughter picked up. I spoke very softly to her. But, her words chilled me to the bone. She said that she hated me and Sanatan Sanstha, hated me for what I had done to her father. She would not like to speak to me and hoped never to see me. She hated Sanatan Sanstha will all her heart.

I broke down, broke down because my daughter was surrounded by demonic forces. These forces were making her say this. She had lost her mental balance.

Why does Sanatan demoralise me

Sanatan Sanstha seems to be using a delicate balance of punishment and motivation on me. Am I the only one to suffer like this or is it a common practice? This attitude is keeping me on my toes. I am now always cautious not hurt anybody at Sanatan Ashram Ponda. I learn to control my tongue and speak when spoken to. I do not give my views on any subject even when asked to. I always appear to be very demure.

I change to match Sanatan Sanstha

I seem to have changed a lot. It starts with lying to my family. I don’t consider it a sin to lie to my family. Then, I slowly change the way I dress. I also spend more time doing activities that bind me to Sanatan Sanstha like chanting and personality defect removal process. I also become totally involved in doing prachar seva from my home. My personality undergoes a drastic change. I change my social group and alienate my friends and relatives. I do not think I have done it after being prompted by Sanatan, but now I realize that they used behavior changing techniques on me. They used subtle mind control techniques so that I start relying on them for everything.
This continues even at Sanatan Ashram Ponda. The process is quite different when they realize that I have burnt all the bridges and have immersed myself into following Dr Jayant Athavale. They use a carrot and stick approach so that I am always mentally unstable. I don’t have any other resource on which to rely on. The information flow is controlled by them totally. I don’t feel the need to read newspapers. I read only Dainik Sanatan Prabhat. In fact, at Sanatan Ashram Ramnathi, daily newspapers are not read by any sadhaks. They are available in the media section. In fact, the media section has a couple of television sets, they are always watching news channels. They use breaking news and prepare the newsletters based on them.

Psychological tricks

mind control sanatan sanstha
Once outside Sanatan Sanstha, I start to correlate these with the psychological techniques used on me. Sanatan has used many tricks and techniques and modified them. The end result is mind control. Dr Jayant Athavale seems to have spent several years in developing such techniques. I sometimes think that the Spiritual Science Research Foundation or SSRF is engaged in developing and refining such processes which can control the minds of the sadhaks. I was involved in the process for some time though not directly. Hypnosis has also been studied quite extensively, I know the person involved in doing so. I will not name her but she was an expert on this subject and she had confided that she learned this art from Dr Jayant Athavale. I was taught by this female sadhak and was involved in designing some of the mind control techniques. I did not understand the rationale behind them at that time but the process of testing was quite elaborate.

Sanatan Sanstha uses a process of punishment and motivation to keep the sadhaks at Sanatan Ashram Ponda under control. These psychological techniques lead to behavioral changes that can last a lifetime.

Circle of life at Sanatan Sanstha

Life soon settled down at Sanatan Sanstha. I was totally occupied in the daily routine and had little time and inclination to communicate with either my parents or family. They were in the grip of demonic spirits and were always lying and cheating and betraying my trust in them. Sanatan Ashram Ponda was my home and I was immersing myself in its Chaitanya under the blessings of my Guru Dr Jayant Athavale.

Prarabdh and Sanatan Ashram Ramnathi
It was not always smooth sailing at Sanatan Ashram Ramnathi. Life always is full of ups and downs. The character of a person is built on handling such ups and downs. Our Hindu Dharma says that prarabdha are the fruits of past karmas that we experience in this life. How we tackle them (karma) defines what fruits we get. Sanatan has taught this to me and I can understand the deep spiritual meaning of these words. I know that my family – my husband and my daughter are suffering because of their prarabdha and if they help me through their good karmas, they too will be able to escape from the unending cycle of life and death. I do not have any bad prarabdha as the stay at Sanatan Ashram Ponda has nullified all negativities of my life – past and present. All my karmas will have a positive impact from now onwards and I will be able to escape from the cycle of life and death in this birth itself.

Ups and downs at Sanatan Sanstha
life and death

Though I do only good karma, it is not always smooth sailing. The sanstha has many enlightened souls who identify my personality defects. Some of them are serious enough to warrant sustained penance. The most serious personality defect is my ego. I must face several issues due to this. Let me narrate one small incidence – small in nature but serious in its ramifications.
My samhasthi seva consists of prachar seva and I meet people and explain the importance of protecting Hindu Dharma, the importance of spirituality, the stellar role of Sanatan Sanstha as well as try to collect donations or sell our publications or newsletters. I am good at this and am proud of my performance. One day, I comment during a baithak about a new strategy adopted by me. This is not against Sanatan policy and I feel that if others adopt the policy, they will also be able to match my numbers. The sadhaks thank me for sharing this experience. I have shared it so that the sanstha benefits.
This creates an uproar after the baithak – meeting is over. I am called by the seniors and given a dressing down. They allege that I consider myself above Sanatan; they blame it on my ego. With immediate effect, I am asked to discontinue my prachar work. All benefits are immediately withdrawn. I cannot even leave Sanatan Ashram Ramnathi. Communication is very fast and within one hour the news is spread across all sadhaks.

I am at a loss to understand this. I am doing a good job. Everyone was praising me till the previous day. What did I do wrong to get this punishment?

Building trust at Sanatan Ashram Ramnathi

Though I felt betrayed when the Swagat Kaksh at Sanatan Ashram Ramnathi did not pass information about my father’s illness, I did not assume the worst. I rationalised that they may have forgotten. Initially, I had doubted them but one sadhak approached me a couple of days afterwards and apologised for not passing the information.

Sanatan Sanstha rebuilds trust

She said that she had forgotten to do so and this was her personality defect. It had to be removed. She also mentioned this during the personality defect removal session in my presence. The other sadhaks took her for task and told her the seriousness. Because of her, I had been hurt, I had started doubting the sanstha. She was asked to do penance. I was also asked about my father’s health and told that Sanatan could provide good medical care at Sanatan Ashram Ramnathi. It would combine spiritual treatment as well and hence recovery would be fast. I should call up my parents immediately. I could not go personally as my education was in a critical phase and such disturbances would affect it. They had also information that my father was recovering and the critical phase had passed thanks to my devotion to the Guru; Dr Jayant Athavale.
Such good thoughts; such affection. Sanatan Sanstha was really full of people giving selfless service. Look at the strength of spiritual practise, my father was responding to the positive vibes generated by my devotion to spirituality. I was now fully convinced that I was on the right path.
I phoned up my parents immediately and after apologising, asked them to bring father to Sanatan Ashram Ponda for treatment. My mother said that he was not able to travel and I should visit him. I obviously could not do so and could not understand their insistence. Sanatan Sanstha was going to such trouble and they were not cooperating? I was sure that this was the effect of evil spirits.

Reflections

reflections

I recall the whole incident very clearly. I remember meeting the friend, the news about my father’s illness, my self-doubts and Sanatan’s generous offer. I realised the inconsistencies very late. The story built up by the sanstha had several glaring inconsistencies. I should have realised them sooner, but my mind was under their control. The major inconsistency was; how did they come to know that I was aware of my father’s illness? I had only told my rakshak and as subsequent incidents proved, she never shared such personal confidences with Sanatan Sanstha. Why did the sadhak apologise after several days. My father had suffered from stroke two months before I knew, so my brother had visited about two months back. Why was this brought up after such a time difference?
My parents had stopped communicating after this incident and my offer for treatment at Sanatan Ashram Ramnathi acted like salt on a wound. I thought it was a generous offer but they took it in a totally different angle.

I was beyond any rational reasoning. Sanatan meant such a lot to me, my Guru; Dr Jayant Athavale, meant a lot to me. Anything else was irrelevant.

Heartbreak corner – Sanatan Ashram Ramnathi

I have a very tight schedule at Sanatan Ashram Ramnathi. This leaves me little time to speak with my family; I am so tired sometimes that I cannot even respond to their phone calls. My husband is very understanding. The fights we had early on have now given way to some civilised conversation; I still need him to provide for money, clothes and other essentials of life. Though others think that I have taken Sannyas, I still live a life of Grishta ashram and follow the practises of Sanatan Sanstha. The only difference is that I live in an ashram and don’t have any responsibilities towards my family, my responsibility is only towards my Guru, Dr Jayant Athavale.

Deep Hurt

I am drainedI am also deeply hurt that my parents have contacted me only once. I spoke to them after I landed at Sanatan Ashram Panvel. I am very close to my father and his attitude has hurt me very badly. How can he not understand the inner feelings of his little daughter? Why is he so insensitive, why has he become so uncaring? I refuse the sanstha’s explanation that demonic spirits are controlling him; my father cannot be possessed by evil spirits; he is too strong for them.

The H-bomb and my numbness

One day while waiting for a bus back to Sanatan Ashram Ramnathi, I run into an old acquaintance staying near my parent’s house. On seeing me, he tries to turn away, but I run after him. I must speak to him; I have to speak to him. Why does he have to run away? Have I done something wrong? I am doing good work, I am promoting Sanatan Dharma, what is wrong about it?
After exchanging niceties, he again tries to dodge me. He avoids my searching eyes; he is hiding something from me.
I finally muster enough courage to ask him about my parents. I accuse them of being insensitive and uncaring. He flinches and then becomes angry, very angry. He shouts at me. I am shocked. His wife takes me on one side and asks me softly when was the last time I spoke to my parents.

I know something is wrong, something is seriously wrong.
Her next words are more shattering; they ring in my ears; they still do after so many years.
She tells me that soon after I left, my father suffered from a paralytic stoke and his entire left side has been affected. He cannot speak or he refuses to speak.
the bomb that tears my life apart

I am devastated, shocked and numbed. I search for words but find none.
They leave immediately without answering any further questions. I am also not in the condition to ask any more questions.

I am drained, all my life juices have flown out of me.
Like a robot, I reach Sanatan Ashram Ponda.

Why me? What have I done wrong? Why should I be punished like this?

Afternoon sessions and Sanatan Ashram Ramnathi

The pre-lunch sessions can stretch quite long as I have a tight schedule dictated by Sanatan Ashram Ramnathi. There are times when I miss my lunch. As Sanatan Sanstha has adviced me not to eat food outside, I spend many days without any proper food. It is a small sacrifice I make in the service of my Guru, Dr Jayant Athavale and I do not mind it at all; in fact, I am quite proud of this and other sadhaks praise this attitude.

Post-lunch Sessions and Satsangs

satsang

Even though I may not have eaten anything, I still must attend the afternoon satsangs. Several personality defects have been identified in the morning sessions and I must do penance to rid them from my inner self. This will enable me to lose myself and my identity. The subjects of these satsangs revolve around Gurukrupayoga, personality defect removal process, importance of Samashti seva as well as importance of traditions and different festivals as prescribed by Sanatan Dharma. Sanatan Sanstha has a very good collection of publications and through the scientific research conducted by Spiritual Science Research Foundation or SSRF in short, they have explained the scientific reasoning behind our traditions.
There are several repetitions in the subjects, I do not mind this. I am still a novice and have a lot to learn. I have sacrificed my life to sit in the lap of my Guru, Dr Jayant Athavale.

Post afternoon sessions

I leave for my prachar work as soon as the satsangs end. I spend about four hours in the morning and afternoon prachar sessions. The return to Sanatan Ashram Ramnathi is around 7 pm, just in time for a light dinner. Dinner is very simple and consists of rice and dal. The hectic schedule and the Chaitanya of the ashram ensures that my diet intake is very less.

I do not mind even though I have lost a lot of weight during the three months at Sanatan Ashram Ponda.

Once our dinner is over, we attend a session of personality defect removal process for a couple of hours. Then, we have free time. We spend this time discussing various issues facing the country and the excellent steps undertaken by Sanatan Sanstha to resolve them. Such discussions generally last for two to three hours and it is generally 11 pm by the time I go to sleep. I don’t feel like sleeping and hence I spend at least another hour or two in doing naamjap – chanting.

I am accountable to my time and feel that sleep is actually a waste of time. I should rather use this time for some productive work. Contacting my family is also a waste of time. I don’t have anything to discuss with them. I don’t attend to their calls most of the days. I hope they get the message and leave me alone. I will contact me when I need something from them, like clothes and money. Otherwise, they should not worry about me and disturb me in my seva. Sanatan Ashram Ramnathi is taking good care and has everything I need.

Morning routine at Sanatan Ashram Ponda

My day at Sanatan Ashram Ponda starts at 6.00 am officially as decided by Sanatan Sanstha. I usually get up early at around 5.00 am and do some surya namkaskar. I have been facing turbulent times owing to the negative energies unleashed by my family and Surya Namaskar helps me to negate the effect. This has been prescribed by the sanstha as naamjap is not helping me much.

The routine at Sanatan Sanstha

The day at Sanatan Ashram Ponda starts at 6.00 am when all the followers of Sanatan Sanstha get up to start their daily routine. We offer thanks to God for allowing us one more day in which we can provide service to our Guru, Dr Jayant Athavale. Then we get busy in cleaning ourselves. Sanatan has prescribed the ideal way for these activities and these have been ingrained by us totally. There is a different system of taking bath, we are advised to take bath without removing the clothes. This has to be done so that the positive energies accumulated during the night stay at the ashram are not washed away. I think, this rule has been implemented as bathing space is restricted and there is no privacy. But, I cannot question the rule otherwise I will be called a non-believer and will again have to undergo penance.
Once these activities are completed, we can proceed to have our breakfast. This is referred as Nahari in our parlance. We communicate through special words; this makes us feel important and part of a group. There are many such words and phrases and these are not known to others; not even by ordinary sadhaks. Breakfast is simple and wholesome and consists mainly of upma or any other Indian preparation. Tea, coffee or any other preparation is available as per requirement.

Chanting and PDR process

Immediately after breakfast, we start the naamjap at the meditation room. Generally, a small Pooja is held every day; but this is not elaborate. The Chaitanya at the ashram is at such a high level that such traditions need not be followed there. I found this difficult to digest as a ritual like the Morning Pooja is practiced everywhere. But I could not question, I had no right to question my Guru, Dr Jayant Athavale. The naamjap or chanting sessions would last for almost 2 hours followed by at least one hour for in-depth analysis of personality defects. Inmates in teams of 20 each would gather around a coordinator and identify the defects identified during the previous day. These would be analyzed by the group and the coordinator would identify the correct process to rid them.
Both these sessions used to tire me out as I noticed that much of the time was taken up in identifying my defects. I assumed this was because the others were participating for many years and had rid themselves of their personality defects. Sanatan Sanstha attributed the tiredness to the negative energy within me and I would be advised to attend a satsang for the next couple of hours.

As I was involved in samashti seva and would have to leave immediately, I would have to attend the satsangs late in the evening.

The morning sessions were packed back to back with little time gaps in between. This was done to take advantage of the positive energies of the environment and to charge us up for the daily routine. However, these left me feeling very tired.

What is Spirituality

Isn’t it surprising that I am still unclear about spirituality? I left a home, nearly broke my relationships and family for the pursuit of something I am still not clear about. I always felt that spirituality is about searching for the meaning of life, connecting to something bigger than ourselves. Hindus connect everything with God and so do I. So, the search for spirituality is also the path for the search for God, the Eternal Truth, the Ultimate being.

Elements of Spirituality

The basic element of spirituality should have
  • Deep awakening
  • Enlightenment
  • Compassion for everyone and everything
  • Forgiveness
  • Karma

Once a person increases his spiritual quotient, he can find inner peace and this will lead to bliss.

Thus, on one hand, spirituality and religion are different. But, as the ends of both are same; attaining inner peace and bliss, they are used as synonyms. This is not debated in India at all.

People can increase their spiritual quotient by many methods. Even doing their work diligently and praying to God can increase it. Lord Krishna tells Arjuna
कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।
मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि॥ -४७

Karmanye vadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kadachana,
Ma Karmaphalaheturbhurma Te Sangostvakarmani

In the simplest form, this can be translated as “Do your work without expectation of the fruits of the labor, nor use attachments be the reason for inaction.”
Several great men and thinkers have interpreted this shokla according to their wisdom. I think it means that we should also do good work without thinking about what we will get in return and without looking at our worldly attachments. I should help others without thinking that I will get “Punya”.Punya has no literal translation in English. Put very simply it is the opposite of sin. We can call Punjya as positive marks.

What does Sanatan Sanstha say about spirituality

Sanatan Sanstha does not attempt to define spirituality. It says that the science of spirituality is called Adhyaatm Shastra. There is no defined path for increasing spirituality. Though satsangs and dharmasabhas are held regularly at Sanatan Ashram Ponda, we are not able to define the path. When questioned about this we are told that it is our ego which is questioning the sanstha. We are asked to do more naamjap (chanting) and devote ourselves to the seva of Guru, Dr Jayant Athavale.
Sanatan says there are several spiritual practices that lead to spiritual enlightenment. They prescribe methods for everything, there is a way of taking bath (we should take bath without removing clothes), how we should comb our hair, how to maintain hair, even on how to urinate. The scientific explanations are very vague and always refer to our holy texts without giving any specific reference. There are several instances when the reasoning contradict each other.

One big contradiction in my life was the responsibilities of a woman in Grihstha ashram and my stay at the Sanatan Ashram Ponda.
Hindu Dharma has divided our life into four stages called ashrams
  • Brahmacharya ashram: the first stage of life from our birth onwards till we get married. Celibacy and education are the main focus in this ashram.
  • Grihstha ashram: the second stage of life commences when education is completed and a person marries. The main duties of a married person is to maintain a household, raise and educate children and live a family-centric and dharmic social life.
  • Vanaprastha ashram: This is actually a transition stage when a person retires and hands over the responsibilities to the next generation. He should hold the hands till they can handle their responsibilities. The focus shifts from the materialistic world to the spiritual world.
  • Sannyasa ashram: the person renounces the materialistic world and adopts the spiritual world. He is engaged in the pursuit of God.

Vedic philosophy allows for a person to shift from Brahmacharya ashram to Sannyasa ashram. This is allowed only for very Enlighted souls who have been born to serve God. However, a person like me in Grihashta ashram cannot renounce her worldly duties. Sanatan Sanstha has given a spin to this angle itself. They lay the blame on my husband’s shoulders directly and also tell me that I have not renounced my life. I am just concentrating more on my spiritual progress.

Other spiritual Gurus do not prescribe to this, but then Sanatan does not care about their views. People like me do not question them, we have relinquished the control of our mind. Families get torn apart.

Broken dreams and broken relationships.
